The Golden Age of Looney Tunes is an out-of-print series of 5-disc laserdisc and 10-tape VHS box sets released by MGM/UA Home Video, as part of a deal with Turner Entertainment Co., a division of Turner Broadcasting System. Five volumes were released on laserdisc, but only the first volume was issued on VHS. The VHS tapes were also available for individual sale.
Some of the shorts in this collection have been re-released by Warner Home Video on DVD in the Looney Tunes Golden Collection - unlike Golden Age, for the most part, the cartoons are restored and remastered to look like when they were originally released. The Golden Age sets used faded 16 mm television prints as MGM/UA and Turner did not have access to the original negatives, which were being stored at the Warner Bros. Studios. Consequently, a few of these cartoons had a.a.p. logos intact. In total, there are 338 cartoons spread throughout the 5 volumes.
Every cartoon that Turner owned the rights to was eventually released as part of one of these sets, with the exception of 11 cartoons not seen since 1968 due to racial stereotypes - these are often called the Censored Eleven.
Evita is a 1996 musical drama film based on Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical of the same name about Eva Perón. It was directed byAlan Parker and written by Parker and Oliver Stone. It starred Madonna, Antonio Banderas, and Jonathan Pryce. The film was released on December 25, 1996 by Hollywood Pictures and Cinergi Pictures.
Evita portrays the life of Eva Duarte (later Eva Duarte de Perón) (Madonna) from a child of the lower classes to becoming the wife of Juan Perón andFirst Lady and spiritual leader of Argentina.
Eva's death is announced in a movie theater and a public funeral is held in Buenos Aires. Che (Antonio Banderas), an Everyman, narrates the story of Eva's rise to power and later illness and death. He appears in many different guises and serves as Eva's conscience and critic. As a young illegitimate child, Eva tries to attend her father's funeral in the town of Junín with her mother and siblings. Her father's wife and other family deny her family permission to enter, but Eva pays her last respects to her father.
Years later, Eva decides to leave Junín to seek a better life in Buenos Aires with a tango singer, Agustín Magaldi (Jimmy Nail), with whom she is having an affair. After Magaldi leaves her, she goes through several relationships with increasingly influential men, becoming a model, actress and radio personality. She meets with the older and handsome Colonel Juan Perón (Jonathan Pryce) at a fundraiser following the recent 1944 San Juan earthquake. Perón's connection with Eva adds to his populist image, since she is from the working class (as he is). Eva has a radio show during Perón's rise and uses all her skills to promote Perón, even when the controlling administration has him jailed in an attempt to stunt his political momentum. The groundswell of support Eva generates forces the government to release Perón, and he finds the people enamored of him and Eva. Perón wins election to the presidency and Eva promises the new government will serve the descamisados (literally, "those without shirts"—i.e., the poor).
At the start of the Perón government, Eva dresses glamorously, enjoying the privileges of being the first lady. Soon after, Eva embarks on what was called her "Rainbow Tour" to Europe. While there she had mixed receptions; the people of Spain adore her; the people of Italy call her whore and throw things (such as eggs) at her, while the Pope gives her a small, meager gift; and the French, while kind to her, were upset that she was forced to leave early. There are hints of the illness that eventually caused her death. Upon returning to Argentina, Eva establishes a foundation and distributes aid; the film suggests the Perónists otherwise plunder the public treasury. The military officer corps and social elites despise Eva's common roots and affinity for the poor.
Eva is hospitalized and learns she is terminally ill. She declines the position of Vice President because she is too weak, and makes one final broadcast to the people of Argentina. She understands that her life was short because she shone like the "brightest fire," and helps Perón prepare to go on without her. A large crowd surrounds the Casa Rosada in a candlelight vigil praying for her recovery when the light of her room goes out, signifying her death. Eva's funeral is shown again. Ché is seen at her coffin, marveling at the influence of her brief life. He walks up to her glass coffin, kisses it, and walks into the crowd of passing mourners.
Christina María Aguilera (born December 18, 1980)[5] is an American singer-songwriter and television personality. Born in Staten Island, New Yorkand raised in Wexford, Pennsylvania, she appeared in television shows as a child before signing with RCA Records in 1998. During her first decade in the music industry, she became a prominent figure in mainstream popular music and popular culture. Aguilera's first three studio albums Christina Aguilera (1999), Mi Reflejo (2000), and My Kind of Christmas (2000) achieved international success; the former spawned the number-one US BillboardHot 100 singles "Genie in a Bottle", "What a Girl Wants", and "Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You)".
Displeased with her lack of input, Aguilera parted ways with her management and assumed creative control for her fourth album Stripped (2002), the album was influenced by many different music genres, incorporating R&B, pop rock, hip hop and soul, in contrast to her teen pop and dance-pop influenced debut album, its second single "Beautiful" helped the album's commercial performance amidst controversy over her image. While Aguilera's soul, blues and jazz-inspired fifth album Back to Basics (2006) was met with positive critical and commercial feedback, her sixth albumBionic (2010) had trouble maintaining commercial success. Later that year, she made her feature film debut in the musical Burlesque which was released to mixed reviews. Aguilera served as the soundtrack's executive producer earning positive reviews and substantial sales. Aguilera's seventh album Lotus (2012) garnered mixed reviews and poor sales. She served as a coach and judge for the first three seasons of the American version ofThe Voice from 2011 through 2012.
Aguilera has been noted for her vocals, music videos and constant reinvention of her image. Her music discusses themes of her childhood, public scrutiny, and female empowerment. Her work has earned numerous awards and accolades, including a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, aGolden Globe Award nomination, four Grammy Awards, and one Latin Grammy Award. Aguilera has sold over 50 million albums worldwide and has earned five number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100; "Genie in a Bottle" and the collaborations "Lady Marmalade" and "Moves like Jagger" are among the best-selling singles of all time. As one of the top-selling artists of the early 2000s, Billboard named Aguilera as the top female artist of 2000 and 2003. Rolling Stone ranked her number fifty-eight on their list of the 100 Greatest Singers of All Time, ranking as the youngest and only artist on the list under the age of thirty. She was ranked the 20th Artist of the 2000–09 decade by Billboard and is the second top selling single artist of the 2000s, behind Madonna. Aguilera was ranked number eight in VH1's 100 Greatest Women in Music and was one of TIME's 100 Most Influential People in the World in 2013. Outside of her work in the entertainment industry, Aguilera is involved in charitable activities through human rights, world issues, and her work as a UN ambassador for the World Food Programme.
The Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Special was a 2001 New York City revue show by Michael Jackson. It took place on September 7, 2001 and September 10, 2001. In late November 2001, the CBS television network aired the concerts as a two-hour special in honor of Michael Jackson's thirtieth year as a solo entertainer (his first solo single, "Got to Be There", was recorded in 1971). The show was edited from footage of two separate concerts Michael had orchestrated in New York City's Madison Square Garden on September 7 and September 10 of 2001. The shows sold out in five hours. Ticket prices were pop's most expensive ever; the best seats cost $5,000 and included a dinner with Michael Jackson and a signed poster. Jackson reportedly earned $7.5 million for each of the two concerts, which is over $150,000 per minute. The concerts are mentioned in the VH1 biopic Man in the Mirror: The Michael Jackson Story, which notes that the last of the two concerts wrapped up just hours before two hijacked jet planes crashed into the Twin Towers of Lower Manhattan's World Trade Center (see September 11 attacks). The concert official Boxscore was $10,072,105 for both concerts.[1]
Marlon Brando appeared a few hours before Jackson's performance to speak about humanitarian work but it was not broadcast due to poor response from the audience. Raw footage can be found online.
Jackson received a diamond watch from Bank of America to wear during the show that was valued at $2 million. Jackson was due to return the watch to the Bank of American Office on the morning of September 11 at the World Trade Centre complex.[2] Later, he started talking about how he might be able to use the song, "What More Can I Give" to raise money for the survivors of the September 11 attacks.

Moonwalker, also known as Michael Jackson: Moonwalker, is an American anthology film released in 1988 by singer Michael Jackson.
Rather than featuring one continuous narrative, the film is a collection of short films about Jackson, several of which are long-form music videos from Jackson's Bad album. The film is named after the dance technique known as the moonwalk, which was one of his trademark moves. The name of the dance move was dubbed by the media, not by Jackson himself; however, he did choose the title of the film himself. Moonwalker was a success at the box office, making a total of $67,000,000 worldwide.
